Candidate Selection

These three stages — consulting, research, recruiting — yield Jonas, Walters & Associates, Inc. an unusually broad preliminary base of qualified, interested candidates, typically 20 to 30. After this base list has been established and the consultant, researcher and recruiter have exchanged all necessary information, the Consultant carefully studies and compares candidates in the preliminary base.

The consultant selects the top 10 to 15 candidates for personal, face-to-face interviews. These interviews are pivotal, and engage the consultant's full range of resources and experience. Probing each candidate's personality, experience, attitudes and personal and professional goals, the consultant carefully compares the candidates with the specifications for the position. This final candidate selection procedure results in three to five highly qualified candidates for presentation to the client, along with a dossier and interview report, which includes verified academic credentials.

When candidate finalists are selected by the employer, a thorough and discrete employment reference check is completed and presented in a detailed, written report.

Of course, the time frame required for a thorough search will vary with the requirements of the position. A typical interval from the date of engagement to the presentation of final candidates averages 60 to 75 days.
